今天要介紹「冬至」跟「湯圓」的英文~~
冬至：winter solstice
winter我小學就知道了！那solstice是啥？？
solstice在Cambridge字典的定義：either of the two occasions in the year when the sun is directly above either the furthest point north or the furthest point south of the equator that it ever reaches. These are the times in the year, in the middle of the summer or winter, when there are the longest hours of day or night

所謂solstice，即太陽跑到最北邊（北迴歸線）或最南邊（南迴歸線）的時間點，那會是在冬或夏季的一半，那時候的白晝或夜晚時間最長
所以相對的，聰明的大家一定已經知道夏至就是summer solstice了
小小附帶一提：春或秋分是spring/autumn equinox，有興趣的朋友可以自行上Cambridge線上字典查查英解。
