最近在 Apple Music 看到一個推薦主題叫 ILYSM 這是什麼呢？ ILYSM = I love you so much 不過看  urbandictionary  上的解釋，這縮寫似乎會被解讀成比較廉價，所以使用上要注意情境是否適合（就像是如果你工作捅了大婁子，然後傳了個  sry  給大老闆，肯定要倒大楣的） 附帶一提，Apple Music 中文版把 ILYSM 翻成「很愛很愛你」

( cambridge dictionary ) 比較適合像是「打線上遊戲的時候稍微害到隊友的程度」，需要比較誠懇的時候還是別縮寫了吧 除此之外也可能是一些地名、單位、專有名詞的縮寫，要依照上下文判斷，例如： Sex determining Region of Y-Chromosome Y染色體性別決定區 ( SRY基因 ) Southern Railway of British Columbia ( SRY鐵路 ) Dash-e Naz Airport  (機場代碼剛好是 SRY) ...等等 必要的話可以參考以下資源 https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/SRY https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRY_(disambiguation)

Pic CC-BY by  shoobydooby 這個字在正式的字典上還查不太到，在  Urban Dictionary  找到了以下的解釋： a person who bargains extremely lower that retail or reasonable price. also, being ridiculously cheap. 簡單來說就是殺價殺到完全不合理的奧客，或不可思議的便宜。 這個字的由來是 Lowball 這款撲克遊戲。老實說我也不會玩，但根據 wiki 上的解釋：手上剩餘點數最少的人贏 a variant of the card game poker, in which hand values are reversed so that the lowest-valued hand wins 衍生為 lowballer 指殺到爆低價格，也就是為什麼很容易在二手交易網站上看到這個字了。

最常見的縮寫是 to be announced 待宣布的意思，通常用在活動公告，但有些部分還沒安排好、或是裝神祕，就會先填上 TBA（待宣布）。 另外還有一些可能，例如： to be arranged 將會安排 to be advised 將會建議 總之看到 TB◯ 的縮寫，通常蠻有可能是 to be + 動詞，就依照前後文或情境去猜。 在  wikipedia: TBA  可以看到其他比較少用的縮寫。 延伸閱讀 tbh 的中文意思

今天要來教大家兩個不良片語：eskimo brothers 跟 wiener cousins igloo Pic CC BY-NC-SA by  keltose "Eskimo Brothers" are men that have slept with the same woman. At one time or another, they 'shared an igloo'. It's similar to "wiener cousins". ( wiki.answers ) slept: sleep 的過去完成式，sleep 本來就可以翻成「與誰上床」的意思，依照前後文來看，在這裡就是這個意思。 igloo: 冰屋 a circular house made of blocks of hard snow, esp. one built by the Inuit people of northern North America. ( cambridge dictionary: igloo ) 「共用一個冰屋」(強調)，簡單來說，就是穴兄弟... 另外，也可以寫成 eskimo bros。 至於 wiener cousins... wiener Pic BY-ND by  mdssandwiches cambridge dictionary - wiener : a frankfurter (= thin, red-brown sausage) wiener 是維也納香腸，暗指小雞雞，剩下的不解釋。

WDYT = What Do You Think 你怎麼想？(詢問意見)/你覺得如何？ 有些人看到「你 怎麼 想」就以為  How do you think，但how是用來問方法的，這句話意思變成「你是如何思考的？」（回答：用腦袋啊！） How 是問方法，What 才是是問內容（你腦子裡想的東西）。 有一些類似的句型，例如問「程度」可以用 How much do you think...、 How XXX do you think... 之類的，但要問意見的話，就是要用 What do you think (of XXX). 對於「你怎麼想」的類似句子，朋友提供了兩個重點： 除非你真的是要問到「用腦袋想」之類的答案，才用How 只要用What說得通，就是用What 但記得，在口語上很多規則很難講清楚，例如語調不同也會表達出不同意思，就...也只能靠多學習吧！ 參考 "What do you think?" vs. "How do you think?" Q：在 "A: What do you think of this movie? B: So so." 這一對話中，What do you think…? 是否可以改為 How do you think…? how do u think還是what ? 熟英文的朋友

最常見是 to be honest 的縮寫 一般會翻成「老實說」 例句 To be honest, I don't like him very much. 老實說，我不太喜歡他。 to be honest 我用mac的字典查到的解釋是 speaking frankly frankly in an honest, sincere, and truthful way, even when this might make other people uncomfortable ( cambridge: frankly ) 當然也是有其他可用的縮寫，在 wiki: TBH 消歧義 上可以找到一些例子，例如日本的樂團The Back Horn（說到他們，就讓我想起 せめて、あの雪のように ...）
